The dwarves of Wroclaw are small statuettes that first appeared on the streets of the city in 2005. Made from various materials including bronze, plaster, plastic or copper every sculpture is different from each other.
Their origin is linked to the anti-communist movement of the 1980s 'Orange Alternative'. Members of this political movement began to draw pictures of gnomes that were used to ridicule the government.
Set out on a fun gnome-hunting game with the kids to find the dwarves, with over 600 hiding in the city and 300 located in Old Town. Its a great way to explore the city while keeping the little ones engaged.
